Product Standard Features
There are several standard features that are common to all of our products.
UML DesignedWe use Enterprise Architect from Sparx Systems in Australia. Not only does this allow us to document high level designs but it also generates database scripts.
Three Tier DesignOur systems are designed with three tiers: data, business logic, and presentation. This helps your programmers quickly understand our code and make changes.
Special Data TablesWe typically offer several special data tables that assist users. Examples include a "Categories" table, a "Status" table, and a "Notes" column for each table. Categories allow you to break up a long list of items into smaller groups. For example, if you are running a hardware store, instead of seeing all of the parts you sell in the store, you might want to just look at electrical parts, plumbing parts, etc. A status table is another way to categorize items. For example, order status could be future, active, error, or completed. "Notes" field allows you to enter additional information that is not captured in the other fields. For example, on a customer order you might want to specify that "Customer is will pay expediting costs".
.NET GridsBy using .NET grids users can easily change the width of columns and sort data by column very similar to Excel. .NET grids also offer alternating colors property so that every other row is highlighted to help the user read data by rows.
History / Trace FilesWe maintain history or trace files so that you can go back and play detective to see when events occurred.
