Learn how to do more for less!  Facts are -- VB and C# can scale from being very simple -- like traditional SCADA software -- all the way up to -- very complex.  You use the same development software for Windows applications, console applications (simple text display), Windows services, web servers, PDAs, Windows CE.NET, etc.  You start simple, and as you learn more, there is no limit to what you can do. 

Traditional SCADA vendors tell you that their software does not require programming!  We have been using their software since the late 1980s.  The truth is -- any decent application will require programming and traditional SCADA software requires a lot more programming than VB or C# because they do not have simple programming methods.  Simple concepts such as arrays and loops eliminate having to write fifty pages of traditional SCADA code. 

With Object Oriented Programming (OOP) most of the objects are there, you simply need to understand how to connect them.  .NET is thousands and thousands of objects and routines that are already written.  To do simple applications -- you don't have to know very much. 

We will teach you

• Read and write PLCs, I/O, scales, drives, vision systems, bar code readers, RFID, meters, robots, etc. 
• Write historical data to disk
• Real-time, on-line Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Write process and quality data to disk so that it can be opened in Microsoft Excel
• Generate reports in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Monitor, display, and record to disk: alarms and events (changes in the system)
• Develop operator interfaces with graphics and animation
• "Dashboards" -- your managers will love these!
• Implement recipes and configuration files
• Read and write databases
• Communicate with other systems using sockets, XML, remoting, and web services
• Display data on alternate platforms such as ASP.NET (web server) and Pocket PC (Personal Digital Assistant -- PDA), CE.NET
• Learn about the vendors and products for graphics, communications drivers, industrial computers, bar code readers, RFID, that interface to VB.NET and C#. 

Courses

We have three, one week courses: Beginner, Professional, and Automation. 

Cost for us coming to your site: $7,500 per week, in the United States, plus our expenses.  Other countries are $10,000 per week, plus expenses, since we lose several days traveling.   For training at your site, we discuss beforehand what equipment you are using and try to use your equipment in our example programs.  Very "hands on" and specific to what you need to do. 

THREE WEEK SPECIAL: Take all three weeks and get 20% off the total price on the third week.  The three weeks all have to be within six months. 

RECESSION SPECIAL: For a limited time, take an additional 20% off!  Now that things are slow in the automation industry, now is the time to improve your training.  You won't have time for training, or this 20% discount, later. 

With both discounts (40% total), the cost, at our site, will be $2,000 per student per week for weeks one and two and only $500 for the third week (a total of $4,500 for all three weeks).

Return On Investment: Seeing as how most SCADA development packages cost thousands of dollars per computer per year, the $13,500 typically pays for itself on your first project!  Most automation projects using VB.NET or C# can be done with the standard software development package which costs only $100 per computer versus thousands of dollars for a simple run-time package of theirs.  Many companies waste tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of dollars on a single project!

Your Instructor: We only send our best people out to do the training.  For example, Keith Baldwin, President of High Tech Services, has over 20 years of experience in automation programming. 

Scheduling: We can schedule three consecutive weeks OR spread it out as in one week in three consecutive months.  For additional travel costs we can sometimes arrange six half weeks.
